Bigdog is all pissy because he wanted Russell to go. He doesn't seem to get the wonderful comeuppance or the fact that most watchers have switched from hating Russell to really enjoying his self-congratulatory brand of evil.

Wasn't that fun tonight!!??!?! I have to admit I had seen a spoiler and thought I knew who was going tonight, but the editing of tonight's show sure
had me doubting that I had read or remembered it correctly. Oh, the looks on some of those faces during the reading of the votes! Loved it, great editing job
tonight.

Yes, great fun, but the moment that made us burst out laughing was when Shambo said "Who's Eric?" We had just been commenting that here we are at
the merge already and there are still players we feel we've never seen and certainly don't know their names.
I have to give Russell some credit for playing the immunity idol. Think of how many people we've seen voted out with an idol in their pocket! (Including tonight.) I guess it's hard to believe you're really the target and let go of that prize possession. But I actually think it wasn't so dumb of Russell to play it. (Although it was dumb of him to show it to everyone.) As long as he had the idol, he would have a target on his back, and he would have to be blindsided to get voted out. That means he could never be sure anyone was telling him the truth about anything. Now he can go back to trying to manipulate everyone on the sheer strength of his personality (hah). |

That was the best episode of Survivor in a LONG time!!
Take that, Tree-boy - which is what we started calling Eric. Even during his exit interview he didnt know what hit him. We loved that! I find Russell amusing - don't love him, certainly don't hate him - he makes it all entertaining. CCC - I think you're right about playing the idol - it should take the target off his back a bit. I don't know if I would call his brand of evil self-congratulatory or self-delusional I think I like Jaison even less - he's so whiny. Shambo must be one of those people that bug you in person. I don't really have a problem with her - I think she seems kind of nice. Definitely a good episode though!! |

I just watched Eric on the Ponderosa video and he was completely shocked! Good Blindside....the preview for next week is leading us to believe that Russell
will be voted out, but I don't think so.

Jaison is a bit of a mystery. He looks like the whole shiny package (smart, goodlooking, athletic), but he has yet to deliver in any challenge, physical or
mental. I can't quite figure out why he would even bother to do something like Survivor. Surely he has easier and less chancey ways of earning a million
bucks.
I'm sure Shambo is perfectly nice as long as you don't have to live with her 24/7 in close quarters. I think she's one of those people who is so firmly ensconced in her own world view that she doesn't really get it that other people don't necessarily see things the same way. The fact that she lost part of the fishing gear AND a chicken, has somehow misplaced Laurie's canteen, and seems somewhat clueless in general has got to drive her teammates nuts. I'm not one of the 90210 set either, but I bet I could get along with them. (Of course I'd get voted out in a Samoa minute for all sorts of other reasons...) Russell seems to be morphing from Satan (remember he burned the socks of several of his own teammates, just to make them miserable) to Dennis the Menace. As much as he trash talks everyone else in the game, I think he's going to have his feelings hurt when he's voted out. Which I predict he will be soon, because he definitely blew it with his "show everybody the idol" trick. He's now lied to how many of his fellow players? And they know it. |

That seems reasonable to me, Chi Chi, I'm in a Survivor pool and won last night's guess (Eric) based on a tiny minute and a look in the show last week.
I've picked Russell for the last man standing, but I think I've blown it. More likely someone like Mick.... another TJ who doesn't offend anyone.
Yup, Shambo really was a hoot in her "who's Eric?" line. I wonder if last night showed her she's not in the discussions with anyone. But, hey, who is Brett??? Have we even had a quiet moment with him? And there's one of the blonde dollies whose name I have yet to learn. |

Yeah, who is that mystery blonde? She's the one we both said, wait a minute, who IS that?
And I have no idea who Brett is. I have trouble seeing how Russell could make Final Two, unless it's because he's so disliked that everyone wants to go up against him at the end. PS It's Laura, not Laurie, right? |

Laura. Mystery blonde is Kelly, not a dummie but in an alliance with Laura and Monica which could be her downfall.
Oh! Thank goodness I still had it in an open tab: http://realitytvworld.com...samoa-blindside-9892.php Interview with Eric. He DID think about playing his immunity idol but only out of arrogance, not because he was worried. Some excellent insider info there. |

Okay, so who is next to go? Do you think they'll take out Laura and her "babies" next?

Laura, unless they get back to Jaison.

I thought of Jaison, but he is whipped and will do as told, so I think they'll think Laura is more dangerous. We'll see, I guess. Anyone else have a
theory?

Too many unpredictable factors -- who wins immunity, who loses their temper in camp, who says the wrong thing to Russell, etc.

I sort of thought, Shambo's reply was 'whose Eric?' - not 'who's Eric?'. Could it be that she momentarily thought maybe they were
referring to one of the newly arrived Foa Foa members & that she was incredulous that they could be referring to one of Galu's members, since the Galu
tribe obviously held all the cards?

That actually sounds like a reasonable explanation, OSB. I saw a day-after interview with Eric at cbs.com today, and in an incredibly arrogant manner, while
maintaining that he was not the least bit arrogant, Eric made it very clear that he owned Shambo.
