P.S. in case you haven't seen it, when you have the iPhone open in iTunes, there is a bar at the bottom that show how much of your phone storage you've used, and how much is left.

elaine, I think heading to the Apple store is a good idea. But if you want to try something, there are 2 things you could do.

1 -- try to reset/reboot your iPhone. You do this by holding down the power button -- that's the one on the top right on the phone. You have to hold it down for a few seconds, and then wait while the phone does a reset, ultimately you'll see the plain apple screen before it goes back to your normal display.

2 -- restore factory defaults via iTunes. Several folks reported a similar problem to what you are seeing on the apple forums, and this seemed to work for them. With the phone plugged into your computer, in iTunes, you can do the restore. When its done your phone will have no apps, contacts, or anything on it at all. Then you can "Sync" it to get all this stuff back on the phone from your computer.


but if you are uncomfortable doing either of these things, absolutely you should stop by the genius bar. I'm sure they can help you.

PS -- when you see the memory status, where does it say all the memory is? does it say "Other"?
