Sally. I agree - Dallas is awful, especially that commuter area. That whole airport is my nemesis - a travel vortex that will someday suck me, never to be seen again. A bunch of toenail shaped madhouses linked by a skytrain. Heaven help you if you have to go out to a ticket counters and that lousy little space in front of them. And then there's the invisible weather there that cancels flights at the drop of a hat.

Then there's the Tom Bradley terminal at LAX. Was Tom a particularly awful mayor or something? Past security, that place is like a bombed out warehouse, but with fewer amenities. I;m thinking he must have been a mere shell of a man.

Hong Kong airport was ok. A little sterile and loud, I thought. Taipei was nice too. Auckland far and away the most peaceful. Siem Reap the least airport-like of all. A fairly small sweatbox metal shed with concrete floors and lines leading from the tarmac, through open garage doors and past a couple of shabby counters staffed by grim uniformed man with what surely must be mysterious pasts.
