Well, we don't have any doggies in the house - just the usual two cats - but we almost had a visitor this afternoon. "Our" little fawn - the one that was born under our California lilac - came to visit and to munch on whatever treats he could find in the back yard. He likes the birdseed Stephen puts out, and he and his mom enjoy the leaves on our grapevine. I was watching him and he looked up and saw me, so he approached the back door and actually tried to come in. There are marks on the glass door from his inquisitive little nose. Good thing we don't have a cat door or I might have found him sitting on the couch watching TV.
His mom noticed what was going on and came by to collect him. I assume she gave him a bit of a lecture about not going too close to those humans even though they seem benevolent enough.
