Thanks for starting this. I was thinking of doing the same.
I have a whole album of fall color photos from the last couple of weeks Here. A few favorites: This is Hopkinton State Park This is another one from Royalston MA, Jacob's Hill Overlook But the best color was at Tower Hill Botanic Garden last weekend: |

y2k, are your photos from the DeCordova, which you said in another thread you had visited recently? I love the grounds there too...I actually looked into
having my wedding reception there, but they had a few too many rules in Lincoln to make it practical. But its gorgeous.

Wow, love your photo album, C_Cat! I actually had thought about going to Hopkinton State Park last week, but in the end I didn't as I wasn't sure
how much color there is (couldn't tell based on the website)! I should have gone there! I guess next weekend might be too late?

Hopkinton is nice, but I don't go often, as I haven't found much in the way of walking trails there that I like. It is about 5 minutes from my house,
however, so I can pop over to take pictures in the late afternoon when the light strikes me as right.
I like the Broadmoor Audobon reserve in Natick better if you are looking for a place to walk around a bit. I don't know what there color will be like next weekend. Either place should have a fair amount of foliage left, however, unless we have a big blow this week. Tower Hill is an absolute gem. And Saturday was a spectacular day, with the sky blue except for some artistic swirly clouds. I was so glad I went up there, it was just so pleasant. the view, the trees, the gardens. I recommend it if you are up for a somewhat longer drive...about 15 minutes further from Boston than Hopkinton would be. |

We like Broadmoor as well, when we visited 2 years ago, but that was in mid-Nov and the foliage was gone. But we thought it was quite beautiful even with bare
trees. We talked about going back this year... we should have gone yesterday but instead we went to Drumlin Farm in Lincoln instead.
The Arnold Arboretum has a foliage festival this coming weekend. It should be nice, but parking is always a pain on the weekend. I also am thinking of going to Providence to visit RISD as there's a Chihuly show right now. But the hardest part is convincing my husband to go, esp since we'll be going to see November next Saturday. He likes to stay home. |

omigod, these are all gorgeous!
Autumn is my favorite season though I find it bittersweet, no pun intended, because it leads to winter. |

I provide this link to some Vermont pics
from the Cook's Illustrated website.
yes, they are professional and not by one of us, but a little more beauty can't hurt. |

This was taken with my iphone, so not the best quality, but it was the only camera I had on me.
