I have to say, for the last couple of years, we knew my husbands sabbatical was coming up, and we saved our money for a big trip, we picked Hawaii. That's pretty much our dream trip of the moment, and we're going to live it in just a few more weeks.

But the one week restriction on this one makes it tough. I've wanted to go to Slovenia. Saw the capital city (Ljublianja, or spelled something like that) on a destination board at Gatwick airport and have wanted to go since then.

Read about Montevideo, Uruguay in a book once and it intrigued me so it's on the list.

I pick Kyrgyzstan, but visiting it while going overland, starting in Kashgar, China (for the market) and ending in Bukara, Uzbekistan, via Osh and Samarkand. Not a long part of the Silk Road, but the part that I'd most like to follow. I'd like for us to take our daughter and show her her family heritage.
