Very strange here this morning too. Foggy, muggy, and warmish. I would think that is the first time your pups have ever heard thunder. When we lived in San Francisco for five years, thunder there was so rare that the one time we heard it, we raced outside thinking something was blowing up. It hardly stands as a trip report. People say "what did you do for a whole week in Vancouver?" and I answer "not much". I must say traveling alone was indeed lonely at times, but the most relaxing trip I've ever done. It's different traveling alone. I'd make no plans and think "I don't have to do anything tomorrow if I don't want to", and as a result many days I just didn't. We are in Seattle at the moment, getting ready to start driving up to Canada in a couple of hours.

We got in right on time yesterday, checked into our hotel and just wandered around a bit. We picked Patrick up at the airport -- his flight was 20 minutes early. After he checked into the same hotel, we went out to dinner at Assaggio Restaurant for a very nice dinner.
