			<description><![CDATA[ Four years ago the city gave federal employees the day off trying to keep that crowd out of town. I have a friend who enjoyed that paid day off, MLK holiday
that week too and went on vacation elsewhere. As a DC area resident she doesn&#39;t have nice things to say about tourists driving in DC.

So, my piece of advice is DON&#39;T DRIVE IN DC. There is a great metro system.

If you can&#39;t find a room in town, and you live south of DC, maybe Springfield or the Potomic Mills... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ We&#39;ve still got good friends in the area, as well as Steve&#39;s brother. I&#39;ve been thinking about going! (Although in the 30+ years we lived there we
never went! The Swedish au pairs who took care of Holly and our best friends kids back in 1981(?) took all the kids down for the parade. But it was REALLY cold
as I recall, and I was working. ) ]]></description>
