Vegas trip

We did have a good time in Vegas, but we all swore we would not go back. Prices are really up, the casinos are tight as a drum and the smoky casinos were not fun to be in at all. All the hotel rooms are accessed by elevators placed strategically in the far corner of the casino, so you had to pass by the machines all the time. If anyone asked advice for where to stay, I think I'd suggest the Venetian. They work hard to get the smoke out of the building. I did hear of a few hotels that...

The sun was shining without mercy on my pale winter skin and I thought to myself that I should have listen to my wife that morning when she was mentioning sunscreen. To celebrate 20 years of leaving USSR the six of us took a trip to Sedona. Southwest delivered us to Phoenix on time, we took the shuttle to the car rental center, picked the color of the mini-van, by majority vote immediately headed to the hotel in Sedona. On the way the kids spotted "famous pies" sign, we had lunch at Rock Springs café, in the Bradshaw room, with rotary phones on the tables and branding tools on the wall. The food and service were good.

By the time the plane landed in Paris, my foot was swollen so much that I could not put my shoe on but luckily I had some backless shoes in my carryon.

Trip Report: Norway, July 2009

This year we decided to visit Norway and after looking at all the alternatives, we decided that flying back from Stockholm would be no more expensive than taking a cheap flight back to Paris and flying back from there. Besides, it would have simply eaten up more vacation time. So we added a few days to our trip to see Stockholm. But Stockholm will be for another trip report.
