Some of you may remember me asking questions about preparing meals for some family friends who have a young son with life-threatening food allergies. The mom,
who loves to cook and bake, took this allergy diagnosis as a challenge to create sweet recipes that her little one could eat, as he was often left out when it
came to desserts and snacks. After two years of researching, testing recipes, photographing the finished products, and designing the book, her cookbook has

I'm hosting a Christmas party this Saturday for my husband's staff. We'll have about 35 people here. I'm having it catered (woo hoo) but
I'm going to make cranberry margaritas. I did this two years ago, and they were a big hit so I ended up at the blender, covered in sticky cranberry juice
and tequila all night long. What if I made a big batch ahead of time and stuck it in tupperware containers in the freezer? Would the booze keep it slushy so
I could just spoon it...

For dietary reasons, the main course ought to be vegetarian (not vegan, just meatless). I'd like it to be a make-ahead so I can just re-warm it when I get
I'm not a real wine connaisseuse, but found during a recent trip that I enjoyed a couple of Italian wines that either were listed, or were explained, as
using primarily the Syrah grape (which I always thought was a French variety except in Australia where it's called Shiraz. But I digress.) I was
surprised to find this varietal labeling on an Italian wine list, being used to the regional names.
